 VirtualDrive Pro CD emulator converts CDs and unprotected DVDs into a compressed images, or "virtual CDs." Virtual CDs are something like MP3s for games and disc-based applications: they run directly on the hard drive, saving wear and tear on the CD-ROM drive and extending the battery life of laptop computers. Users can manage their virtual CDs in a searchable VCD library, share them over a network, and transport them on just about any digital device. Virtual CDs have access rates nearly 200 times faster than physical discs in a CD-ROM drive. VirtualDrive Pro's simple, intuitive interface makes it a snap to build custom virtual CDs containing favorite tracks, expansion packs, documentation, and custom programs. The software lets you create up to 23 virtual drives and an unlimited number of virtual discs. VirtualDrive Pro includes RAM disk software that lets you run applications in memory up to 340 times faster.
